1. PRIOR TO USE
■ Only allow qualified operators to use the instrument.
■ This instrument is a diagnostic/measuring device
specially designed for ophthalmology. Never use
the instrument for other purposes.
■ Check that the guarantee certificate has all the
necessary details on it, and store it in a safe place. If
the content of the guarantee certificate is
incomplete, the guarantee may not be valid.
1.1 Safety precautions
1.1.1 General
■ Do not disassemble or modify the instrument. You may be directly
exposed to high voltage sections.
■ Turn power off and disconnect the power plug from the outlet and the
cable connecting devices before transporting the instrument. The cable
may break, resulting in fire or electric shock.
■ Do not measure a cornea weakened by disease or surgery.
Complications or damage may occur to the cornea.
■ The measurement window moves when the mode is switched to
REF/KRT, Tono/Pachy and/or Topo. Do not touch the moving section.
Doing so may cause failure of the instrument or injury.
■ Do not service or perform maintenance while using the instrument on a
patient.
■ If any failure occurs in the instrument, immediately stop operation,
indicate the failure in the instrument, and contact our local distributor
for repairs.
