What to do if my Topcon HiPER GD GPS receiver cannot obtain Code Differential or RTK solutions?
    • J
      Jeff BeckerSep 12, 2025

Why is my Topcon HiPER GD receiver tracking too few satellites?
    • G
      garciamartinSep 12, 2025
If your Topcon GPS receiver is tracking too few satellites, the elevation mask value might be too high (e.g., above 15 degrees). Lower the elevation mask. Also, if the survey is being conducted near obstructions like trees or tall buildings, ensure that the Multipath Reduction boxes have been enabled.

What to do if my Topcon HiPER GD GPS receiver does not start data logging?
    • J
      Jamie SimonSep 9, 2025
If your Topcon GPS receiver isn't starting data logging, it could be due to a lack of free space for files, or because the receiver has already logged 512 files into the internal memory. To resolve this, download receiver files to a computer (if needed) and then delete unnecessary files.

Why my Topcon HiPER GD GPS receiver cannot connect to a computer?
    • S
      stephanie56Sep 8, 2025
If your Topcon GPS receiver cannot connect to a computer or external controller, it might be because the Daisy Chain mode is still active. Check the cable connection to ensure it's properly plugged into the correct serial port. A damaged cable could also be the cause, so try using an undamaged cable. Finally, ensure that the receiver port used for the connection is in Command mode; connect your receiver and a computer using a free port and start PC-CDU.

What to do if Topcon HiPER GD receiver does not power up?
    • L
      Linda StephensAug 23, 2025
If your Topcon GPS receiver isn't powering on, there might be a few reasons. First, the receiver could be in Zero Power Mode; try pressing the Reset key. If you're not using an external power source, the batteries may be discharged, so connect a fully charged external power source. If you are using an external source, the internal batteries might be drained; charge them overnight. If the issue persists after charging, the charger or internal batteries could be defective. In this case, contact TPS Customer Support for advice.
