4.Movetheswitchupordownonthebracketuntilthe
distancebetweenthebrakeshaftsensorandtheswitch
plungeris3.9mm(5/32inch)(Figure51).
Note:Makesurethatthebrake-shaftsensordoesnot
contacttheswitchplunger.
5.Securetheswitchjamnuts.
6.Testtheadjustmentasfollows:
A.Ensurethattheparkingbrakeisengagedandyou
arenotsittingontheseat,thenstarttheengine.
B.Movethecontrolleversoutoftheneutrallocked
position.
Theengineshouldstop.Ifnot,recheckthe
adjustmentyoumadetotheswitch.
7.Installthefrontpanel.
BeltMaintenance
CheckingtheAlternatorBelt
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Checktheconditionandtensionofthebelts(Figure52)after
every100operatinghours.
1.Propertensionwillallow10mm(3/8inch)deection
whenaforceof44N(10lb.)isappliedonthebelt
midwaybetweenthepulleys.
2.Ifthedeectionisnot10mm(3/8inch),loosenthe
alternatormountingbolts(Figure52).Increaseor
decreasethealternatorbelttensionandtightenthe
bolts.Checkthedeectionofthebeltagaintoensure
thatthetensioniscorrect.
