1.Rotatethebladeofeachspindleuntiltheends
faceforwardandbackward.
2.Measurefromtheoortothefronttipofthe
cuttingedge.
3.Adjusttheshims(3mmor1/8inch)onfront
casterarm(s)tomatchtheheight-of-cutdecal
(Figure33).

Note:Measurefromtheoortothetipofthe
cuttingedgeonbothunitsandcompare.These
numbersshouldbewithin3mm(1/8inch)of
eachother.Makenoadjustmentatthistime.
2.Positionthebladesidetosideontheinside
spindleofthesidecuttingunitandcorresponding
outsidespindleofthefrontcuttingunit.
Note:Measurefromtheoortothetipofthe
cuttingedgeontheinsideedgeofsidecutting
unittothecorrespondingoutsideedgeoffront
cuttingunitandcompare.Thesidemower-deck
measurementshouldbewithin3mm(1/8inch)
ofthefrontcuttingunit.
Note:All3cuttingunitcasterwheelsshould
remainonthegroundwithcounterbalance
applied.
Note:Ifadjustmentsneedtobemadetomatch
thecutbetweenthefrontandsidecuttingunits,
maketheadjustmentstothesidecuttingunits
only.
3.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoo
highrelativetotheoutsideedgeofthefront
cuttingunit,removeashimfromthebottomof
thefront,insidecasterarmonthesidecutting
unit(Figure33).
Note:Checkthemeasurementsbetweenthe
outsideedgesofbothsidecuttingunitsandthe
insideedgeofthesidecuttingunittotheoutside
edgeofthefrontcuttingunitagain.
4.Iftheinsideedgeisstilltoohigh,removean
additionalshimfromthebottomoffront,inside
casterarmofthesidecuttingunitandashim
fromthefront,outsidecasterarmoftheside
cuttingunit.
5.Iftheinsideedgeofthesidecuttingunitistoo
lowrelativetotheoutsideedgeofthefront
cuttingunit,addashimtothebottomofthe
front,insidecasterarmonthesidecuttingunit.
Note:Checkthemeasurementbetweenthe
outsideedgesofbothsidecuttingunitsandthe
insideedgeofthesidecuttingunittotheoutside
edgeoffrontcuttingunitagain.
6.Iftheinsideedgeisstilltoolow,addanadditional
shimtothebottomoffront,insidecasterarmof
thesidecuttingunitandaddashimtothefront,
outsidecasterarmofthesidecuttingunit.
7.Whenthecuttingheightmatchesattheedges
offrontandsidecuttingunits,verifythatthe
sidemower-deckpitchisstill8to11mm(5/16
to7/16inch).
