2.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingthe
TirePressure(page26).
3.Checkallfastenersforlooseness;tightenthem

4.Greaseoroilallgreasettingsandpivotpoints.
Wipeupanyexcesslubricant.
5.Lightlysandandusetouch-uppaintonpainted
areasthatarescratched,chipped,orrusted.
Repairanydentsinthemetalbody.
6.Servicethebatteryandcablesasfollows:
A.Removethebatteryterminalsfromthe
batteryposts.
B.Cleanthebattery,terminals,andpostswith
awirebrushandbakingsodasolution.
C.Coatthecableterminalsandbatteryposts
withGrafo112Xskin-overgrease(T oroPart
No.505-47)orpetroleumjellytoprevent
corrosion.
D.Slowlyrechargethebatteryevery60days
for24hourstopreventleadsulfationofthe
battery.
7.Engagethetransportlatches(Groundsmaster
4700-Dmachinesonly).

1.Draintheengineoilfromtheoilpanandinstall
thedrainplug.
2.Removeanddiscardtheoillter.Installanew
oillter.
3.Filltheoilpanwithmotoroil.
4.Starttheengineandrunitatidlespeedfor
approximately2minutes.
5.Shutofftheengine.
6.Flushthefueltankwithfresh,cleandieselfuel.
7.Secureallofthefuelsystemttings.
8.Thoroughlycleanandservicetheair-cleaner
assembly.
9.Sealtheair-cleanerinletandtheexhaustoutlet
withweatherprooftape.
