Adjusttheskidsandthescraperinitiallyandthenas
neededtoensurethattheaugerdoesnotcontactthe
pavedorgravelsurface.Also,adjustthemasneededto
compensateforwear.
1.Movethesnowthrowertoalevelsurface.
2.Checkthetirepressureinthetires.RefertoChecking
theTirePressureinSetup.
3.Loosenthe4angenutsthatsecurebothskidsto
theaugersideplates(Figure27)untiltheskidsslide
upanddowneasily.

A.ForConcreteandAsphaltSurfaces:
Ifthesnowthrowerdoesnotclearthesnowclose
enoughtothepavement,adjusttheskidsto
lowerthescraper;ifthepavementsurfacesare
cracked,rough,oruneven,adjusttheskidsto
raisethescraper.
B.ForGravelSurfaces:
Supporttheaugerbladesafewinches(cm)above
theground,andadjusttheskidstopreventthe
snowthrowerfrompickinguprocks.
6.Toadjustthescraper,loosenthe5mounting
screws(Figure28),levelthescraper,andtightenthe
mountingscrews.
7.Movetheskidsdownasfaraspossible.
8.Tightenthe4angenutsthatsecurebothskidsto
theaugersideplates(Figure27).
AdjustingtheSpeedSelector
Adjustthespeedselectorlinkageinitiallyandwhenthe
snowthrowerisslow,rstgearhasnospeed,orthe
speedselectorleverdoesnotmoveintothirdgear.
1.Draingasolinefromthefueltankandtheengine
oilfromthecrankcase.RefertoEmptyingtheFuel
TankandtoChangingtheEngineOil.
2.Tipthesnowthrowerforwardandblockitsothatit
cannotfall.
3.Removethe4ange-headboltsthatsecurethe
bottomcovertotheframeandremovethecover
(Figure33).
