•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulicleaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Seekimmediatemedicalattentionifuid
isinjectedintoskin.Injecteduidmustbe
surgicallyremovedwithinafewhoursbya
doctor.

CheckingtheHydraulicFluid
ServiceInterval:Every40hours—Checkthe
hydraulicuidlevel.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Movethespeed-controllevertotheNEUTRAL
positiontostopthemachine.
3.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,
shutofftheengine,andwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
4.Waitfortheengineandthehydraulicsystemto
coolfor10minutes.
Note:T ogetthecorrectreading,checkthe
hydraulicuidlevelwhenthemachineiscool.
5.Raisetheseatup.
6.Cleantheareaaroundthedipstickofthe
hydraulic-systemreservoir(Figure60).
7.Removethedipstickfromthehydraulicreservoir
(Figure60).
8.Wipethedipstickoffandthreadthedipstickinto
thereservoir.
9.Removethedipstickandlookattheend(Figure
60).Iftheoillevelisattheaddmark,slowly
pouronlyenoughoilintothehydraulicreservoir
toraisetheleveltothefullline.
Important:Donotoverllthehydraulic
unitswithoil,asdamagemayoccur.Donot
runthemachinewiththeoilbelowtheadd
mark.
