ServiceInterval:Every200hours—Checkandgap
thesparkplug(EFIenginesonly).
Every500hours—Checkandgapthespark
plug(Non-EFIenginesonly).
Makesurethattheairgapbetweenthecenterand
sideelectrodesiscorrectbeforeinstallingthespark
plugs.Useaspark-plugwrenchforremovingand
installingthesparkplugsandagappingtool/feeler
gaugetocheckandadjusttheairgap.Installnew
sparkplugsifnecessary.

RemovingtheSparkPlugs
1.Movethespeed-controllevertotheNEUTRAL
positiontostopthemachine.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,
shutofftheengine,andwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
3.Removethesparkplugs.

lm,cracksorreuseisquestionable.
Ifyouseelightbrownorgrayontheinsulator,the
engineisoperatingproperly.Ablackcoatingonthe
insulatorusuallymeansthattheaircleanerisdirty.
Setthegapto0.76mm(0.030inch).
