1.Installthesparkplugandmetalwasher.Ensure
thattheairgapissetcorrectly.
2.Tightenthesparkplugto15ft-lb(20.4N-m).
3.Connectthewiretothesparkplug(Figure27).
4.Closethehood.

DrainingtheFuelTank
Drainthefueltankwhenyouwillnotbeusingthe
machineformorethan30days.
DANGER
Incertainconditions,fuelandfuelvaporsare
extremelyammableandhighlyexplosive.A
reorexplosionfromfuelcanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
•Drainfuelfromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Neversmokewhendrainingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereaspark
mayignitethefuelfumes.
1.Parkthemachinesothattheleftfrontsideis
slightlylowerthantherightsidetoensurethat
thefueltankdrainscompletely.
2.Disengagetheblades(PTO).
3.Settheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
5.Removetheignitionkey.
6.Closethefuelshut-offvalvelocatedunderthe
frontofthefueltank.
7.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslide
itupthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure
29).
