Important:Iftheshearpinsarebroken,the
mowerbeltmaybedamaged.Inspectthebelt;
refertoRemovingtheMower(page33).
RemovingtheBlades
1.Removethemower;refertoRemovingthe
Mower(page33).
2.Carefullytipthemowerover.
3.Removethebolts,washers,andblades(Figure
40).Wedgeablockofwoodbetweeneach
bladeandthemowertolockthebladewhenyou
areremovingeachbolt.
Note:Therightbladehasaleft-handthreaded
bolt.
4.Inspectallparts;replaceanythatarewornor
damaged.
SharpeningtheBlades
1.Usealetosharpenthecuttingedgeatboth
endsofeachblade(Figure41).
Note:Maintaintheoriginalangle.Theblade
retainsitsbalanceifyouremovethesame
amountofmaterialfrombothcuttingedges.

6.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
7.Movetheheight-of-cutlevertothelowest
position.
8.Removethetunnel.
9.Pulltheidlerarmassemblyinwardandremove
theV-beltfromthepulley(Figure44).
