blade-controlswitchtotheOFFposition(Figure
11).
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheFASTposition.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFpositionand
removethekey.
DrivingtheMachine
Drivingthemachinebenetsfromanunderstanding
ofwhatzero-turn-radiusmowermeans.Thedrive
wheelsturnindependently,poweredbyhydraulic
motorsoneachaxle;hence1sidecanturninreverse
whiletheotherturnsforward,causingthemachine
tospinratherthanturn.Thisvastlyimprovesthe
machinemaneuverabilitybutmayrequiresome
adjustmentifyouareunfamiliar.

Themachinecanspinveryrapidly.You
maylosecontrolofthemachineandcause
personalinjuryordamagetothemachine.
Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
Slowthemachinedownbeforemaking
sharpturns.
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedas
measuredinrpm(revolutionsperminute).Placing
thethrottlecontrolintheFASTpositioncanbebest
forperformance.Formostapplications,operatethe
machineinthefull-throttleposition.
