AdjustingtheControlHandle
Position
Therearetwoheightpositionsforthecontrollevers;highand
low .Removetheboltstoadjusttheheightfortheoperator.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-controlleversto
theneutral-lockedposition,andsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Loosentheboltsandangenutsinstalledinthelevers
(Figure82).
4.Aligntheleversfronttorearpositionbybringthe
leverstogethertotheneutralpositionandslidethem
untiltheyarealigned,thentightenthebolts(Figure83).

Linkage
Locatedoneithersideofthefueltank,belowtheseatare
thepumpcontrollinkages.Rotatingthepumplinkagewitha
1/2inchwrenchallowsnetuningadjustmentssothatthe
machinedoesnotmoveinneutral.Anyadjustmentsaremade
forneutralpositioningonly.
WARNING
Enginemustberunninganddrivewheelsmust
beturningsomotioncontroladjustmentcanbe
performed.Contactwithmovingpartsorhot
surfacesmaycausepersonalinjury.
Keepngers,hands,andclothingclearofrotating
componentsandhotsurfaces.
1.Priortostartingtheengine,pushthedeckliftpedal
andremovetheheightofcutpin.Lowerdecktothe
ground.
2.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportwithjack
stands(orequivalentsupport)justhighenoughto
allowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.
3.Removetheelectricalconnectionfromtheseatsafety
switch,locatedunderthebottomcushionoftheseat.
Theswitchisapartoftheseatassembly.
4.Temporarilyinstallajumperwireacrosstheterminals
intheconnectorofthemainwiringharness.
5.Startengine.Ensurethebrakeisengagedand
motion-controlleversouttostartengine.The
operatordoesnothavetobeintheseatbecause
ofthejumperwirebeingused.Runengineatfull
throttleandreleasebrake.
