5.Replacethedipstick.
6.Startandruntheengineatidlefor30seconds,
thenshuttheengineoff.Wait30seconds,then
repeatsteps2through5.
7.Installthellercapanddipstickrmlyinplace.
FillingtheFuelTank
Useonlyclean,freshdieselfuelorbiodieselfuelswith
low(<500ppm)orultralow(<15ppm)sulfurcontent.
Theminimumcetaneratingshouldbe40.Purchase
fuelinquantitiesthatcanbeusedwithin180days
toensurefuelfreshness.
Fueltankcapacity:22.7L(6U.S.gallons)
Usesummergradedieselfuel(No.2-D)at
temperaturesabove-7°C(20°F)andwinter
grade(No.1-DorNo.1-D/2-Dblend)belowthat
temperature.Useofwintergradefuelatlower
temperaturesprovideslowerashpointandcoldow
characteristicswhichwilleasestartingandreduce
fuellterplugging.
Useofsummergradefuelabove-7°C(20°F)will
contributetowardlongerfuelpumplifeandincreased
powercomparedtowintergradefuel.
DANGER
Undercertainconditions,dieselfuelandfuel
vaporsarehighlyammableandexplosive.A
reorexplosionfromfuelcanburnyouand
othersandcancausepropertydamage.
•Useafunnelandllthefueltankoutdoors,
inanopenarea,whentheengineisoffand
iscold.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.
Addfueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis6
to13mm(1/4to1/2inch)belowthebottom
ofthellerneck.Thisemptyspaceinthe
tankallowsthefueltoexpand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinaclean,sealed,
safety-approvedcontainer.
