Replace Fuel Pre--Filter (Fig. 23)
Replace fuel pre--filter after every 400 operating hours
or yearly, whichever occurs first. The pre--filter is located
on the inside of the frame just below the fuel/water sepa-
rator.
1. Park machine on a level surface, lower cutting units,
stop engine, engage parking brake, and remove key
from the ignition switch. Unlatch and raise hood.
2. Remove cap screw securing the pre--filter to frame.
3. Clamp both fuel hoses to the pre--filter to prevent fuel
spillage.
4. Loosen hose clamps at each end of the pre--filter.
Pull fuel hoses from the filter.
5. Secure new filter to fuel hoses with hose clamps.
Make sure arrow on the side of the pre--filter points to-
wards the injection pump.
6. Secure pre--filter to frame with cap screw.
