PrimingtheFuelSystem
Primethefuelsystemunderthefollowingconditions:
•Beforestartingtheengineforthersttime.
•Ifyourunoutoffuelandthenaddnewfueltothe
system.
•Afterperformingmaintenancetothefuelsystem,
suchaschangingthefuellter,drainingthewater
separator,orreplacingafuel-systemcomponent.
Toprimethefuelsystem,rotatethekeyswitchtothe
ONpositionfor10to15secondstoallowtheelectric
fuelpumptoprimethefuelsystem.
Important:Donotusethestartermotortocrank
theenginetoprimethefuelsystem.Youwill
damagethestartermotor.
ReplacingtheFuel-Water
Filter
ServiceInterval:Every500hours
Important:Replacethefuelltercanister
periodicallytopreventwearofthefuelinjection
pumpplungerortheinjectionnozzle,duetodirt
inthefuel.
