Cleantheareaoftrash,branches,androcks
beforetrenchingtopreventdamagingthemachine.
Alwaysbegintrenchingwiththeslowestground
speedpossible.Increasespeedifconditions
permit.Ifthechainspeedslowsdown,reduce
thegroundspeedtokeepthechainmovingatits
fastestrate.Donotspinthetrackswhiletrenching.
Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed)
whentrenching.
Alwaystrenchbackward(i.e.,inreverse).
Trenchwiththechainata45°to60°angleforbest
results.
Youwillbeabletodigatrenchfasterbycontrolling
thedepthwithperiodicadjustmentsoftheboom.
Ifthetrencherbindsinthesoil,reversethechain
direction.Oncethechainisloose,changechain
directionsandcontinuetrenching.
Ifyouneedthenishedtrenchtobecleaner
thanwhatispossiblewiththetrencher,you
canpurchaseacrumberfromyourdealer.The
crumbermountsontothetrencherheadand
scrapesthetrenchcleanasyoudig.
Toimprovethequalityoftrencheslessthan61cm
(24inches)deep,usea61cm(24inch)boom.
