•Alwaysbegintrenchingwiththeslowestground
speedpossible.Increasespeedifconditions
permit.Ifthechainspeedslowsdown,reduce
thegroundspeedtokeepthechainmovingatits
fastestrate.Donotspinthetrackswhiletrenching.
•Alwaysusefullthrottle(maximumenginespeed)
whentrenching.
•Alwaystrenchbackward(i.e.,inreverse).
•Trenchwiththechainata45°to60°angleforbest
results.
•Youwillbeabletodigatrenchfasterbycontrolling
thedepthwithperiodicadjustmentsoftheboom.
•Ifthetrencherbindsinthesoil,reversethechain
direction.Oncethechainisloose,changechain
directionsandcontinuetrenching.
•Ifyouneedthenishedtrenchtobecleaner
thanwhatispossiblewiththetrencher,you
canpurchaseacrumberfromyourdealer.The
crumbermountsontothetrencherheadand
scrapesthetrenchcleanasyoudig.
•Toimprovethequalityoftrencheslessthan61cm
(24inches)deep,usea61cm(24inch)boom.
•Iftheliftspeedofthemachineistooslowortoo
fast,adjusttheboltindicatedinFigure20.
