RemovingtheCoverPlate
Note:Thefastenersonthecoversofthismachine
aredesignedtoremainonthecoverafterremoval.
Loosenallfastenersoneachcoverafewturnssothat
thecoverisloosebutstillattached,thengobackand
loosenthemuntilthecovercomesfree.Thisprevents
youfromaccidentallystrippingtheboltsfreeofthe
retainers.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engage
theparkingbrake(ifapplicable),andlowerthe
boom.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
WARNING
Thereisarotatingshaftunderthecover
thatismovingwhenthemachineis
runningandcancatchngers,hands,
loosehair,andclothing,causingserious
injury,amputation,ordeath.
Alwaysshutofftheengineandwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeremoving
thecover.
3.Loosentheboltattherearofthecoverplate.
4.Loosenthe3boltssecuringthecoverplateto
theframesequentiallyuntilthecoverisloose
(Figure19).

5.Slidethecoverplatetowardtherightsideofthe
machine,thenpullitoffovertheboltsandoff
themachine.
6.Toinstallthecoverplatebeforeoperatingthe
machine,slidetheplateintoplaceandsecureit
withthe3boltsyouloosenedpreviously(Figure
19).
Lubrication
GreasingtheMachine
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily(Grease
immediatelyaftereverywashing.)
GreaseType:General-purposegrease.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheboom.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Cleanthegreasettingswitharag.
4.Connectagreaseguntoeachtting(Figure20
throughFigure22).
5.Pumpgreaseintothettingsuntilgreasebegins
tooozeoutofthebearings(approximately3
pumps).
6.Wipeupanyexcessgrease.
