Drainfuelfromthefueltankswhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
Neversmokewhendrainingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwhereaspark
mayignitethefumes.
RefertoFuelSafety(page13)fora
completelistoffuelrelatedprecautions.
ChangingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheloaderarms.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Openthehoodandremovetheleftsidescreen.
4.Loosenthetankcaptorelievepressure.
5.Clampthefuellinesonbothsidesofthefuel
lter(Figure42).

7.Placeadrainpanunderthefuellinestocatch
anyleaks,thenremovethelterfromthefuel
lines.

ensuringthatthearrowonthelterpointsaway
fromthefuellinecomingfromthefueltankand
towardthelinegoingtothefuelpump.
Important:Neverinstalladirtylter.
9.Movethehoseclampsclosetothelter.
10.Removetheclampblockingfuelowandopen
thefuelvalves.
11.Securethetankcap.
12.Replacethesidescreenandclosethehood.
DrainingtheFuelTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,andlowertheloaderarms.
2.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
3.Syphonthefuelfromthetankusingapump-type
syphon.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuellter
becausethefueltankisempty.
