Fuel Tank - Remove and Replace
1. Remove the battery negative cable.
2. Drain the fuel tank. To do this, first place the fuel
selector valve in the off position. Then, remove
the fuel line from the fuel filter. Place the fuel line
into a suitable container (Figure 89). Use the fuel
valve to select the tank to be removed (Figure 90).

3. If the left tank is to be removed, remove the
electrical control panel from the tank (Figure 91).

4. Remove the tire. Then, remove the 2 nuts,
springs, and washers securing the center of the
fuel tank to the frame (Figure 92).
