4. Operation
4.1 Startup
Tostartthemotor:
• Ensurethatremotethrottleisinneutralposition
• EnsureEmergencyStopSwitchisengaged
• Forstarting,turnignitionkeytotherightoneclick.Displaywillturnonandruna
seriesofsystemchecks.Onceallboxesareticked,turnkeytorightagainandyou
will hear a clicking noise from the batteries. This is the batteries being engaged for
operation. The motor is now “on” and operable. Caution, be aware that there is no
noise of motor when in idle “neutral” position.
• Touchscreendisplayconrmsreadinessforoperationofallcomponents
(refer to point 5.4)
• Tostopthemotor,turnignitionkeytotheleft(OffPosition).
• Checkcableprotectionhoseleadingtooutboardforpossibledamage
• Checkfunctionofemergencystopswitch
• Checksteeringsystemfunction
• Incaseofvisibledamageofsystemcomponentsorcablesneither
charge the battery nor switch on the system
• Fixredemergencystoplanyardtoyourwrist,oronyourlifejacket
• Onlyusethebatteryattemperaturesbetween-25°Cand+55°C
(-13°Fand+131°F).
