Figure 2-5 shows the underside of the computer. Make sure the display is closed
before turning over your computer.

Expansion Use this socket to install a memory module to increase
memory socket your computer’s memory by 128 or 256 MB. Refer to the
Memory expansion section in Chapter 8, Optional
Devices.
Battery cover This cover protects the battery pack, which powers the
computer when the AC adaptor is not connected. For
detailed information on the battery pack, refer to Chapter 6,
Power and Power-Up Modes.
Battery latch Slide this latch open to release the battery pack for
removal.
