2E40 Failed to convert image file format If this error has occurred while converting the file to a
highly compressed PDF format, reattempt the operation. If
the error still persists, use the normal PDF format. When
this error has occurred while converting the file to other
than a highly compressed PDF format, turn the power OFF
and then back ON. Then reattempt the operation. If the
error still persists, contact your service representative.
2E43 Encryption error. Failure to create a file Perform the job again. If the error still persists, turn the
power OFF and then back ON. Then reattempt the
operation.
2E44 Creating a file was not allowed Creating an unencrypted file was not allowed. Configure
the encryption settings and reattempt the job in error. To
create an unencrypted file, ask your administrator.
2E45 Failure in making meta data Check that the template setting is correct and reattempt
the job in error. If the error still persists, turn the power
OFF and then back ON. Then reattempt the job in
operation.
2E50 Executed [Store to USB] without
logging in being done by a user or
department in the setting which
requires authentication
Have a user or a department log in and reattempt [Store to
USB].
2E65 There are too many documents in the
folder. Failure in creating a new
document
Delete the data in the local storage folder in the equipment
and reattempt the operation.
2E66 Failed to process your job. Insufficient
Storage space.
Reduce the number of pages of the job in error and
reattempt the operation. In addition, check whether the
server or local storage device has sufficient space in its
storage capacity.
2EC0 Job canceled The job has been canceled by a user.
2EC1 Power failure Check whether the power cable is connected properly and
is inserted securely. Then resend the job.

the power OFF and then back ON. Then reattempt the
operation.
2A31 WS Scan function is not available The WS Scan function is disabled. Change it to “Enabled”.
2A40 System fatal error Turn the power OFF and then back ON and reattempt the
operation.
2A50 Job canceled The job has been canceled by a user.
2A51 Power failure Check whether the power cable is connected properly and
is inserted securely. Then resend the job.
2A60 Authentication for WS Scan failed When Fax & Scan of Windows is used with the WIA driver,
check if the user name for the login is registered. When the
control panel or EWB of the equipment is used, check if the
user name for the login is registered.
2A70 Insufficient permission to execute
