Inserting Different Paper Between the Front Cover and the Pages
You can insert a different type of paper at a specified location in the printouts. This is useful when you want to add
front and back covers, or sheets between chapters. You can insert printed and blank sheets.

Inserting a front cover and back cover
Enable this feature to insert paper for the cover (back cover) from a different cassette or from the bypass tray. You can
also print on different paper at the start and end of the document by feeding paper from a different cassette or from
the bypass tray.

Display the [Paper Handling] tab menu.

To insert a front cover, select [Use Front Cover], and then select the drawer where the cover
paper is loaded from [Source]. Select whether you are inserting a blank cover or a printed cover
from [Print Style].
Print Style
Do not print on page: Inserts a blank front cover.
Print one side of the page: Prints the first page of the document on the front of the cover.
Print both sides of page: Prints the first two pages of the document on both sides of the cover.
When [Auto] is selected from [Source], paper is automatically selected according to the printed document
size.
To insert thick paper, select [Bypass Tray], and then set [Thick] as the [Paper Type] from [Bypass Tray] in the
[Drawer Settings] dialog box of the [Device Settings] tab in the printer driver.
[Print both sides of page] is available only when 2-Sided printing is selected on the [Finishing] tab.

To insert a back cover, select [Use Back Cover] and set the [Source] and [Print Style] options in
the same way as for [Use Front Cover].

Set other printing functions as needed, and then click [OK].

Click [Print] or [OK] to send the job.
