4.11 System Board
CAUTION: 1. when handling the system board, always hold by the edges. Do not touch
the printed circuit face.
2. if replacing with a new system board, execute the subtest01 Initial
configuration in section 3.3 “Setting of the hardware configuration”. Also
update with the latest BIOS
Removing the System Board
The following describes the procedure for removing the system board (See Figure 4-11-1 to
4-11-2).
1. Remove battery, HDD Door, HDD, ODD, Keyboard and base.
2. Disconnect speaker cable, LCD cable, power cable, touch pad cable and wireless
cable.
3. Remove system board from the top assembly. (See Figure 4-11-1 to 4-11-4)
4. Disconnect the power cable and fan cable from the system board.

Removing RTC battery
The following describes the procedure for removing the RTC battery unit (See Figure 4-19-
2).
