Appendix2. The diffrence between DPCS and DPCS Emulator
51
About registration of Serial I/O Modules
VRTDX1
In DPCS Emulator, SRT01 module is used instead of VRTDX1. In VRTDX1, various input ranges were
registered. But all ranges are not supported in SRT01. For that reason, you choose a suitable range from
SRT01 parameters (it registers at SI/O point information). When there is no same range in these
parameters, you choose the nearest range. For example, when you chose –20 to 80 degrees Celsius range
in VRTDX1, you choose –50 to 100 degrees Celsius range in SRT01.
VTBUX1 terminal unit has an unbalanced characteristics at channel 5, causing error of approximately
0.2%. VRTDX1 card has compensation functions and can reduce the errors. AS SRT01 module may
have the same errors when used with VTBUX1, register compensation data using engineering tool.
DPCS emulator engineering tool has a menu that enables each channel of SRT01 to be shifted at lower
end (6,400 counts) and upper end (32,000 counts).
Inputs of Tc
VAMPX1 is used for input of Tc. In DPCS emulator, you register STC01 module for input of Tc. In
input of Tc as well as VRTDX1, about input range, the value corresponding to the input range registered
as VAMPX1 is chosen from the input ranges of STC01 parameters (it registers at SI/O point
information).
Inputs other than 1-5V (VAMPX1 + VAINX1)
In the VAMPX1 + VAINX1, you chose input range that is 0 to 5V or 1 to 5V. BIAS parameter is 0 for 0
to 5V. BIAS parameter is 1 for 1 to 5V. In DPCS emulator, input processing from I/O modules checks the
BIAS parameter value. If BIAS parameter is 0, 0 to 5V indicate 0 to 100%. If BIAS parameter is 1, 1 to
5V indicate 0 to 100%.
Inputs other than 1-5V (VAMPX1 + VAINX1B)
In the VAMPX1 + VAINX1B, you chose input range that is bipolar model (for example –5 to 5V). The
input range is decided by LEVEL and BIAS parameters. You choose a suitable range from SAI01
parameters (it registers at SI/O point information). The conversion table of LEVEL, BIAS parameter,
and the input range of SAI01 is as follows.
