Troubleshooting
Device does not switch on
Cause 1:
Mains lead not plugged in correctly.
Remedy:
Check connection, push connector in rmly.
Cause 2:
Mains fuse burned out.
Remedy:
Have the mains fuse replaced by an authorised specialist workshop. The rating of the replacement fuse
must agree with the specication printed on the unit.
The device responds correctly to manual operation of the buttons on the front
panel, but does not respond to remote control commands
Cause 1:
The battery of the FM11 remote control is completely discharged.
Remedy:
Charge the FM11‘s built-in battery with any 5 volt USB power supply.
Cause 2:
The supplied E2000 infrared receiver is not connected or not connected correctly, or is not within the ran-
ge of vision of the remote control.
Remedy:
Check the wiring of the infrared receiver and position it so that the remote control has a free eld of vision
to it..
Loud humming noise from the loudspeakers
Cause:
Poor contact between the Cinch plugs and sockets, or a faulty Cinch cable.
Remedy:
Please check all connections and cables thoroughly.
Flat sound image, insufcient bass response
Cause:
The loudspeaker cables are connected with reversed polarity.
Remedy:
Check the speaker connections at the loudspeakers and at the integrated amplier’s speaker terminals;
correct if necessary.
Many problems have a simple cause and a correspondingly simple solution. The following section describes a few
difculties you may encounter, and the measures you need to take to cure them. If you nd it impossible to solve
a problem with the help of these notes please disconnect the unit from the mains and ask your authorised T+A
specialist dealer for advice.
