4.4.5 Errors and Warnings
The KTX2 will alert the User to three types of anomalies as indicated in Table 4-6:
• Warnings
• Set-up Errors
• Elementary Function Errors
If no FID-Code (Flight ID) and
the corresponding Aircraft
Address (AA-Code) is entered
or uncomplete, the following
displays will appear after
switching on the transponder
Enter appropriate FID and AA-
Code described in paragraphs
4.4.2.1 and 4.4.2.2
• Err FPGA
• Intern. Comm. Fail
• Do System Restart
• Send Unit for servicing
• Send Unit for servicing
• Switch Unit OFF & ON
again
• No output from
Transponder. Check all
connections and battery
voltage (4.4.4.2)
• If no root cause discovered,
send unit for servicing
• Data from GPS source not
sufficient
• Check GPS source
• Not enough satellites
• Battery voltage has fallen
below 11 VDC
• Check battery
• Increase engine RPM
• Check generator output
(Unit will operate > 9 VDC)
