      Lori MillerSep 23, 2025
To address rapid burner cycling in your Trane Furnace: 1. Tighten all electrical connections. 2. Adjust the thermostat heat anticipation for longer cycles (refer to the operation guide). 3. Check for proper air supply across the heat exchanger. 4. Relocate the thermostat (do not mount the thermostat on the unit).

Why is my Trane Furnace not producing enough heat?
    • L
      llewisAug 23, 2025
If your Trane Furnace is not producing enough heat: 1. Consult the operation guide. 2. Consider if the heated space has been enlarged. Have the heat loss calculated and compare it to the heater output (80% of input). Your gas supplier or installer can provide this information. If the heater is undersized, add additional heaters. 3. Replace the thermostat. 4. Check air movement through the heat exchanger. Check the voltage to the power venter motor, clean the power venter wheel and heat exchanger, and oil the power venter motor. Check filters and replace them if necessary. 5. Adjust dampers accordingly.

    • V
      vfergusonAug 27, 2025
If your Trane Fan motor isn't reaching full speed, the motor might be too small for the application, in which case you should replace it with a larger motor. Alternatively, the voltage at the motor terminals might be too low; check the voltage across the AC line and correct it if possible.
