Starting The Brush Cutter/Strimmer
Once you have assembled and fuelled the strimmer you are able
to start it. To do this you:
1. Turn the choke ON.
2. Switch on the engine using the switch located on right
handle.
3. Pump the rubber engine primer bulb 6 - 8 times until clear
fuel is flowing.
4. Ensuring engine is on firm ground, keep the engine firmly
held down with knee and one hand. Now pull the start
cord firmly.
5. Slowly feedback the starter handle to its original position.
6. Repeat above until engine has started.
7. Turn the choke OFF.
NOTE: Mastering the throttle is an art that is quickly learnt with
use. The “idling adjustment screw”, may need raising/lowering to
adjust the engine idling speed This is also something that is learnt
with usage.
