Replacing the Spark Plug
Check the spark plug and the spark gap on a
regular basis. For this proceed as follows:
Allow the engine to cool
down.
Pull the spark plug connector
from the spark plug.
Screw off the spark plug using
the socket wrench and
screwdriver.

Check the electrode gap.
The gap should be approx. 0.6 to 0.7 mm.
Clean the spark plug when it is contaminated.
Re-install the spark plug being careful not to over tighten
it.
Replace the spark plug with a similar make and model:
Every 100 hours or once in a year (whichever case comes
first).
When the insulating body is damaged.
When the electrodes show excessive erosion (required
0.6 mm - 0.7 mm).
When the electrodes show excessive erosion.
