The gas pressure regulator does not have an integrated safety shut-
o device (crash sensor) that prevents liquid gas from escaping in an
uncontrolled manner in an accident according to UN/ECE regulation
122� Gas appliances may not, therefore, be operated in the vehicle
while driving�
3 Product description
3.1 Gas system
The pressure in a filled gas cylinder is up to 16bar� The gas applian-
ces in the vehicle are designed for an operating pressure of 30mbar
The gas pressure regulator is situated between the gas cylinder and
the gas appliances and reduces the gas cylinder’s pressure to the gas
system’s operating pressure�
The connection between the gas cylinders and the gas pressure
regulator is established using flexible high-pressure hoses� The
high-pressure hoses are fitted with hose rupture protection as an
option� Optional gas filters clean the gas and therefore protect the gas
system from contaminants�
