1. TO THE USER AND PERSON IN CHARGE OF THE MACHINE
Thank you for purchasing TUME Seeder Fertilizer. This manual contains instructions for correct use,
adjustment, service and storage of Tume Nova Combi. Please follow the instructions in this manual to ensure
correct operation and long-time reliability of your machine. It is highly recommendable to read the instructions
carefully well in time before using the machine. Keep the manual always easily at hand. There is a storage
space for the manual in a case on the right side of the machine. It is marked by a label. Both the
manufacturer, Tume-Agri Oy, and the authorised dealers are happy to assist with any matters regarding the
machine.
Notes to the reader
Because this publication is distributed in an international sales network, the devices in the pictures (both
standard and accessories) may vary from country to country. Some important protective covers, which are
required by law in some countries, have in some of the pictures been removed in order to ensure better
visibility to the part in question. The machine must not be used without the protective covers. To ensure user
safety, please check that all protective covers are undamaged and installed before starting work.
In this manual, the "left side" and the "right side" of the machine are always viewed from behind the machine
towards the driving direction.
Tume-Agri Oy continuously develops its products and reserves the right to make changes and improvements
to the products described in this manual without committing to change previously sold products.
2. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before using, servicing or handling the TUME Seeder Fertilizer.
It is strictly prohibited to work or stay under a machine that is supported by the hydraulic system
only! Always close the safety valves of the lift cylinders to prevent the machine from collapsing.
Always lower the machine if you have to leave it unattended.
The support leg of the drawbar, which is available as accessory, is designed to facilitate fitting the
seeder to the fixed tractor pull point, or when used on top, to facilitate fitting the device to a rear
harrow. Use the support leg only when the hoppers of the machine are completely empty and it is
standing on a level surface. When dismounting the machine, always lower it down on the coulters and
ensure that it cannot move. Do not park the machine on sloping ground.
It is strictly prohibited to ride or sit on the footstep or the machine when it is moving! The driver must
ensure that there are no people near a moving machine.
Do not grease, adjust, or clean the machine when it is moving. When servicing the machine, turn off
the engine and put the hand break on.
All protective covers must be in place.
Make sure that the drawbar, hydraulic hoses and electric wires are correctly connected to the tractor
and the machine.
Damaged hydraulic hoses and connections must immediately be replaced. Ensure that the hydraulic
valves and connections on the tractor are undamaged and do not leak. The machine rests on them
during transportation.
Due to the structure of the machine's hydraulic system, it cannot be used unless the 12V power
supply is switched on.
If the power supply is damaged, utmost care must be taken when using the hydraulic system, because
the movements will be unlimited!
