Adjustment example for fine seeds
Case 2. You want to seed 8 kg/ha of turnip rape.
• Check the correct bottom valve position, "1", in the upper right corner of the seeding table
• Look at the small seeding table
• Start from the left side of the small seeding table, at 8 kg/ha
• Move right along the horizontal line from 8 kg/ha to the intersection with graph "rape"
• Proceed straight down from this intersection to the scale on the bottom which shows that the
correct adjustment is ”2.2”
• Check the transmission rate of "II" on the upper left corner of the small table. Use the fine seed
adjustment in the power transmission, i.e. turn the cassette to the level indicated by position
"II".
Adjustment example for fertilizer
Case 3. You want to seed 500 kg/ha of NPK granular fertilizer .
• Check in the upper right corner of the seeding table, that the correct bottom valve adjustment
for granular fertilizer is "2". The fertilizer side has a factory installed sprocket Z 17.
• Start from the edge of the bigger seeding table, at "500 kg/ha"
• Proceed along the horizontal 500 kg/ha line towards the right, until it intersects with graph
"granular fertilizer Z 17", if the sprocket Z 17 is used. (black line in the chart).
• Move straight down from the intersection, to see that the correct reading of the main scale on
the adjusting wheel locking lever is "7.2". After adjustments perform a calibration test to
ensure the correct dosage.
NOTE! When aiming at an exceptionally high level of fertilization (over 700 kg/hectare), turn
the front double sprocket at the left end of the machine in order to select Z 22. It is then
possible to seed up to approximately 900 kg of fertilizer/hectare. In that case, follow the red
fertilizer line in the chart!
13. CALIBRATION TEST
General
As the adjustment levels in the sowing chart are only advisory, a calibration test must be performed before
seeding. Adjust the machine according to the seeding table prior to the calibration test.
Check the following:
• Position of the transmission cassette setting I/II
• Bottom valve adjustments (seed and fertilizer)
• Seeding amount (with the hand wheel)
• That the optional tramline device is not operational
• Fertilizer volume (with the hand wheel)
• That the bottom plates are completely open
• That the hoppers contain fertilizer and seed.
Lift the machine slightly from the ground so that the ground wheel comes off the ground and can be rolled.
The rolling is easy if you install the rotating apparatus as shown in Figure 14.The rotating apparatus is located
underneath the cover at the left end of the machine.
The pipelines of the machine (both seed and fertilizer) can easily be set to the calibration test position
