16. ADJUSTING THE REAR HARROW
FIGURE 19. Rear harrow.
The spikes of the REAR HARROW can be adjusted sideways. You can also adjust the working angle. Make
the sideways adjustments so that the spikes travel in the middle of the soil bank between the bearing wheels
and in the middle of the wheel mark.
Make the vertical adjustment with the side chains. This adjustment affects not only the working depth but also
the lifting of the machine, or the moment during the lift at which the REAR HARROW also rise from the
ground. The bottom parts of the chains are equipped with protective tubes that prevent the REAR HARROW
chains from being adjusted too high. If the REAR HARROW were installed too high, the rear step would
be damaged when lifting the machine to the upper position.
Whenever you adjust the angle of the REAR HARROW, you also need to check the working depth.
NOTE: After the adjustments, make sure that when you lift the machine to the highest position also
the REAR HARROW rises sufficiently for backing up and transporting the machine to another
location.
17. SEEDER FERTILIZER SERVICE
In demanding repairs, contact the dealer for assistance. This section describes measures that can usually be
carried out at the farm. Read the maintenance instructions carefully. If you work according to the instructions,
the TUME seeder fertilizer will provide reliable service year after year. Failure to perform the described
maintenance will void the warranty.
When servicing the machine, turn off the tractor and put the hand brake on.
CAUTION!
ALWAYS CLOSE THE SAFETY VALVES OF BOTH LIFT CYLINDERS IF THE
MACHINE NEEDS TO BE IN THE HIGH POSITION DURING MAINTENANCE. DO NOT GO
UNDERNEATH A MACHINE SUPPORTED BY HYDRAULICS ONLY!
