Why is there no steam in my Tylo STEAM HOME steam room even at the right temperature?

  If your Tylo Iron steam room maintains the desired temperature but lacks steam, several factors could be responsible. Insufficient ventilation might be the cause; ensure the air exhaust valve extracts 10-20 m³ of air per person per hour. High incoming air temperature could also be the culprit; reduce it to a maximum of 35°C. The surrounding air temperature should not exceed 35°C. Finally, check the thermometer's placement; it should be approximately 150-170 cm above the floor and away from the steam jet.

  If hot water runs continuously from the drain pipe of your Tylo Iron steam generator, the automatic draining solenoid valve may have jammed. Switch off the steam generator and test again after 80 minutes. If the fault persists, remove the motorized ball valve for the automatic drain function and clean it.

  If hot water squirts jerkily, or trickles mixed with steam, from the steam nozzle of your Tylo Iron, it may be due to a small water pocket in the steam pipe; eliminate it. If there is an excessive length of uninsulated steam pipe, insulate it. If there is too much deposit on the electrodes, take them out and clean them with a cloth until all deposits have been removed.

  If the steam production of your Tylo Iron comes and goes at short intervals right from the start, the sensor may not be positioned correctly relative to the steam jet. Try moving the sensor or changing the direction of the steam jet. Also, check the dirt filter for limescale or other foreign material and clean it if necessary.

  If you hear loud banging in the water lines of your Tylo Iron when the solenoid valve opens or closes, ensure the incoming water piping to the steam generator is firmly secured to the wall using clamps. If there is recoil (water hammer) in the incoming water piping, replace 1 meter of the water piping closest to the steam generator by a flexible type, e.g. armored rubber hose that can withstand the water pressure.

  If your Tylo Iron steam room lacks both steam and heat, start by checking the fuses in the distribution board and replace them if necessary. Ensure water is entering the steam generator by opening the connected tap and inspecting the hose for kinks. Verify the time and temperature settings on the control panel. Clean the dirt filter connected to the incoming water to remove any obstructions. Also, clean the feed water solenoid valve to clear any foreign particles. If there's excessive limescale, replace the water tank, element, and electrodes. Check the voltage and generator connections against the wiring diagram. If there's a fault in the circuit board, control panel, or solenoid valve, replace the faulty component. Finally, replace the pipe element if it is broken.

Remove and clean the solenoid valve or rectify the electrical fault. If the solenoid valve is broken, replace it. A circuit board fault may also be the cause, so change the circuit board. Clean the electrodes if there is too much deposit on them.

  If the safety valve opens or the temperature protection cut-out trips on your Tylo Iron, it could be due to a drastically reduced internal diameter of the steam piping. Change the pipe or joint component causing the reduction (internal diameter min. 12 mm). Also, ensure that any bends in the steam pipe are gently rounded (minimum radius 50 mm). If excessive limescale is present in the steam generator water, descale several times with flushing in between. Change the water tank, complete with the element and electrodes, if that did not work.

  If your Tylo Iron steam room is taking an unusually long time to heat up, consider these potential causes and solutions: * If you have steam generator low power, change to a higher power steam generator. * Reduce the amount of ventilation to 10-20 m³ air per person per hour if there is too much ventilation in the steam room. * Replace any blown or tripped fuses in the distribution board. * If the surrounding air temperature is below 15°C, raise it or switch to a higher power steam generator. * Replace a broken pipe element. * Move the sensor or change the direction of the steam jet if the sensor has been placed too close to the steam.
