Configuring the Network Connections
The network connections can be configured using the RegConfig
program in the Receiver Processor MRP111 and in the
MPU121/MPU112/MPU111. You do not need to configure the
Receiver Processor MRP121.
NOTE
If the network configuration of the Sounding Workstation is altered
the network configuration of the MRP111 and
MPU121/MPU112/MPU111 units should be altered respectively by
using the RegConfig program.
The MRP111 and MPU121/MPU112/MPU111 units need to know
the IP address of the Sounding Workstation. The MRP121 unit does
not need to know the IP address of the Sounding Workstation.
To configure the network connections, first you need to create a
connection to the MRP111 or MPU121/MPU112/MPU111 unit. It can
be done using NetMeeting, Remote Desktop Connection,
HyperTerminal or VNC, depending on what kind of installation you
have.
If you use Windows Vista, create the connection via Remote Desktop
Connection, HyperTerminal or VNC. Vista does not support
NetMeeting.
NOTE
Remote Desktop Connection can only be used for units MPU112 or
MPU121. When connecting to other units, use the VNC or the
HyperTerminal.
For the details on creating the connection, see the following sections.
Creating the Connection with
NetMeeting
The NetMeeting program is delivered with the workstation's operating
system. If there is no shortcut for NetMeeting on the desktop or
launch bar, you need to configure the program.
