Configuring NetMeeting
With Windows XP, you need a shortcut for NetMeeting. To create a
shortcut, do the following:
1. Right-click on the desktop, select New - Shortcut - Browse.
2. Locate conf.exe in the \Program Files\NetMeeting\ folder.
3. Click OK - Next - Finish.
To configure NetMeeting, do the following:
1. Start the program by selecting Start - Programs - Accessories -
Communications - NetMeeting. Click Next twice. With
Windows XP, double-click the shortcut you just created.
2. Fill in your name and e-mail address in the appropriate boxes.
3. On the next screen, clear the selection from the Log on to a
directory server when NetMeeting starts check box. Click
Next.
4. Click the Local Area Network button. Click Next five times
until NetMeeting starts.
5. In NetMeeting, select Tools - Options and click the Security
tab. Select the I prefer to receive secure incoming calls check
box and the I prefer to make secure outgoing calls check box.
6. On the Audio tab, clear all selections from the General section.
7. On the Video tab, clear all selections from the Sending and
receiving video section.
8. Click OK to close the window. NetMeeting is now ready for
use.
Creating a Connection with NetMeeting
To create a connection with NetMeeting you have:
- MRP111 or MPU121/MPU112/MPU111 in the SPS311 and a
connection from it to the workstation via Ethernet
or
- MWI210 in SPS220 and a connection from it to the workstation via
Ethernet
and
- Other operating system than Windows Vista.
