How to fix abnormal noise from Valeo Compressor?
    • R
      Ryan Mcguire MDAug 14, 2025
If your Valeo Compressor is making an unusual noise, first check the bolts and increase their tightening torque if they are loose. If there's a wide gap where the compressor attaches to the bracket, improve the attaching portion. If the noise comes from inside the compressor body, the compressor needs replacement. For abnormal noise from the magnetic clutch, replace the magnetic clutch. If there's a strange noise when the magnetic clutch engages, adjust the air gap or replace the magnetic clutch. If the armature slips or doesn't engage, charge the battery or replace the magnetic clutch. For belt slipping noise, replace the compressor if it's locked and readjust the belt tension if it's loose.

What to do if Valeo TM31 is smoking?
    • V
      Vanessa LewisAug 25, 2025
If you see smoke coming from your Valeo Compressor, it could be due to several reasons. If the magnetic clutch friction surface is slipping, adjust the air gap or replace the magnetic clutch. Low magnetic clutch voltage can cause smoke, so charge the battery. If the magnetic clutch friction surface is greasy, clean it or replace the magnetic clutch. If the magnetic clutch belt is slipping or the belt tension is loose, adjust the compressor installation position or the belt tension, respectively. If there is smoke from the magnetic clutch, replace it. Finally, if the smoke is from the compressor itself, fix any refrigerant leakage and refill the system to the correct amount.

Why is my Valeo Compressor not cooling enough?
    • N
      nelsonderekNov 3, 2025
If your Valeo Compressor isn't cooling properly and no cool air is coming out, the compressor may need to be replaced. If the low pressure cut switch is activated, address any refrigerant leaks and refill the system to the correct level. Should the magnetic clutch slip or fail to engage, try replacing the lead wire. For a damaged magnetic clutch, repair or replace it. If the magnetic clutch air gap is too wide, adjust it or replace the clutch. A low magnetic clutch voltage requires charging the battery. If the armature doesn't rotate when the magnetic clutch engages, or if the belt is slipping, the compressor may be locked and need replacement. If the belt runs off the pulley, consider replacing the compressor or the magnetic clutch. Finally, if the center bolt is loose or missing, replace...
