6 Operation
SWiFT is switched on and off by a quarter turn of the ring surrounding the deployment spar end
cap. The turn can be in either direction
The SWiFT has an optional deployment cage that can be used to attach additional weight or afford
additional protection if required.
6.1 Software
SWiFT and SWiFT plus can be operated with three software packages
• Valeport Ocean Software that is supplied with the instrument or can be downloaded from
http://valeport.download.
- Valeport Ocean is a PC program to set up, down load and display data. It is licence
free.
- Please see separate manual for further details.
• An iOS hand held device App available from the App Store
• An Android hand held device App available from the Play Store.
A SWiFT CTD must be operated with Valeport Ocean, SWiFT SVP will remain compatible with
Valeport Connect even after being upgraded to the latest firmware.
