Screw connections
It’s very important that all bolted connections
are secured with the correct torque.
Too much torque can damage the screw,
nut, or component. Always use the supplied
torque spanner to tighten screw joints.

Clean your VanMoof frame using water and
gentle detergent. We do not recommend
using pressure washers, as this can damage
the internal electronics.
Chain guard and cleaning
The VanMoof S3 & X3 are tted with
an enclosed chain guard to protect from
dirt. If dirt gets inside, remove the chain
guard and clean the chain with an oiled
cloth. The integrated chain tensioner
is designed to ensure the chain does
need to be adjusted for the rst 2 years
after purchase.
