4. NowopentheDTMbydoubleclickingonthesensorintheproject
windowandcarryoutthedesiredsettings,seechapter"Param-
eter adjustment".

Thefollowingexampleshowsatypicalprojectcontainingasensor
connectedtoaVEGAMET624.CommunicationwithVEGAMET
624iscarriedoutinthisexamplevianetworkandEthernet.We
recommendusingthe"VEGA project assistant"asthisconsiderably
facilitatesprojectcreationandhelpsavoiderrors.Allparticipating
componentsarefoundautomaticallyandintegratedintotheproject.
Incasetheplanningisneverthelesscarriedoutmanually,e.g.when
creatinganoineproject,thefollowingDTMsmustbeaddedtothe
project tree:
1. Inthedevicecatalogue,rstselectthe"VEGA Ethernet"DTM
fromthecategory"Driver"andtransferit,e.g.bydoubleclicking,
to the project window.
2. SelecttheVEGAMET624DTMfromthecategory"Gateways"
andtransferittotheprojectwindow.
3. SelecttherequestedsensorDTMfromthecategory"Device"and
transferittotheprojectwindow.
4. Selectthe"VEGA-Ethernet"DTMintheprojecttreeandselectvia
therightmousekeythemenuitem"Additional functions - Change
DTM addresses".Enterintheeld"New address"theIPaddress
ortheHostnametheVEGAMETshouldgetlateroninrealopera-
tion.
