ASCII protocol:Directserialconnectionbetweensignalcondi-
tioninginstrumentandPCforenquirywithterminalprograms,e.g.

valueenquiryviawebbrowser.
Whenconnectingamodem,youshouldswitchonthisoptionsothatit
willbeprovidedwithparametersnecessaryfordatatransmission.
