Why does the Victaulic FireLock NXT 768 Control Unit valve operate without sprinkler activation?
    • B
      Bryan BrooksAug 5, 2025
If the Victaulic Control Unit valve operates without sprinkler activation, it could be due to a loss of air pressure in the system or trim. Check for leaks and ensure the AMTA is operating correctly. Installing a low-air supervisory switch might also help. Alternatively, the air compressor's pressure switch might be set too low, or the compressor isn't working right. Try increasing the “ON” setting of the air compressor’s pressure switch and inspect the air compressor.

What to do if water is leaking from the drip check in the Victaulic FireLock NXT 768 alarm line?
    • A
      Amanda Flores MDAug 11, 2025
If water is leaking from the drip check in the alarm line of your Victaulic Control Unit, this could be because water is getting past the clapper seal and into the intermediate chamber of the valve. Inspect the clapper seal and valve body seat ring for any physical damage or foreign material. Another possible reason is water is under the clapper seal. Inspect the clapper seal to ensure no water is underneath it. If water is present, remove and replace the seal.

How to fix a Victaulic Control Unit clapper that won't latch closed?
    • A
      Amanda AllenAug 27, 2025
If the clapper of your Victaulic Control Unit won't latch closed, it could be because there is no water pressure on the diaphragm. Check the water pressure in the diaphragm charge line and ensure the restrictor is clean. Another potential cause is that the Auto Drain is not set. Set the Auto Drain by pulling up on the Auto Drain Sleeve.
