What to do if the Victaulic Control Unit water motor alarm is not ringing?
    • E
      Elizabeth BarnettAug 4, 2025
If the Victaulic Control Unit's water motor alarm isn't ringing or is weak, first ensure that the holes in the seat ring aren't plugged to allow water into the intermediate chamber. Also, check that check valves isolate each valve's alarm line in the system, preventing leaks from another valve's alarm line drain. Finally, confirm the correct restrictor size is installed in the alarm line drain; if incorrect, replace it according to the trim drawing.

      Johnny WadeAug 13, 2025
If water leaks from the intermediate chamber of your Victaulic Control Unit, check the clapper seal and seat for physical damage and ensure no debris is present. Also, ensure there's no vacuum in the alarm line. If a vacuum exists, install a Series 752V Retard Vent Kit or create an air break in the alarm line.

      Kristine CruzAug 25, 2025
If the system water pressure gauge is fluctuating with the supply pressure in your Victaulic Control Unit, check the bypass check valve's orientation, ensuring the arrow points from the supply side to the system side. Also, remove the threaded cap to the check valve and clear any debris, ensuring the clapper moves freely.
