Empty the tank (e.g. by running empty).
Park the VIKING gardening power tool
on a flat surface.
Place a suitable oil collection container
next to the VIKING gardening power
tool – note the minimum capacity.
(Ö 6.1)
Unscrew the oil dipstick (Ö 6.1)
Empty all the engine oil through the filler
neck and into the oil collection container
by tilting the VIKING gardening power
tool to the side.
Return the VIKING gardening power
tool to its normal position and add fresh
engine oil. (Ö 6.1)
7.4 Checking the spark plug
Recommended type: F7RTC
Park the VIKING gardening power tool
on a flat surface, allow to cool and
remove the spark plug socket. Clean
the area around the spark plug.
Unscrew spark plug (1) using a suitable
spark plug wrench.
Check:
Check insulator (2) for damage and
cracks, check electrode (3) for deposits
and excessive wear. Always replace
spark plugs in doubtful condition.
Measure electrode gap A using a
suitable gauge and, if necessary,
carefully correct:
A = 0,7-0,8 mm
Screw in the spark plug by hand as far
as it will go.
Then tighten the spark plug as follows
using a spark plug wrench so that
sealing washer (4) is compressed.
Used spark plug:
1/8 to 1/4 turn
New spark plug:
1/2 turn
Large air filter:
0004 124 1500
Small air filter:
0004 124 2800
Spark plug:
0004 400 7000
Danger of burns!
Do not touch hot parts of the
engine.
Avoid damage to the machine!
An unsuitable spark plug can result
in damage to the engine.
