What to do if I see a lamp failure alarm on a new lamp in my Viqua VH410?
    • C
      Carolyn JohnsAug 18, 2025
If the lamp failure alarm is on for a new lamp in your Viqua Water Filtration System, disconnect the lamp from the connector and reconnect, ensuring a tight fit is accomplished. Moisture build-up in the connector may also keep the lamp and connector from making a solid connection. Eliminate any chance of moisture getting to the connector and/or lamp pins.

What to do if the lamp failure alarm is on with a new lamp in my Viqua VH410 Water Filtration Systems?

      Christian WilliamsAug 20, 2025
If the lamp failure alarm is on even with a new lamp in your Viqua Water Filtration System, consider these possibilities: * Loose connection: Disconnect the lamp from the connector and reconnect it, ensuring a tight fit. * Moisture build-up: Eliminate any chance of moisture reaching the connector or lamp pins, as this can prevent a solid connection.

Why is there a pressure drop in my Viqua VH410 Water Filtration Systems?
    • E
      Elizabeth SinghAug 23, 2025
A pressure drop in your Viqua Water Filtration System can occur if the sediment pre-filter is clogged. Replace the filter cartridge with an appropriate 5-micron cartridge. It can also be caused by contamination in water lines after the UV system. In this case, shock the effluent water stream with chlorine (bleach) before the water leaves the UV system. The disinfection system must have a bacteria-free distribution system to work effectively. Another cause is a possible breakthrough of sediment through the pre-filter. Have your source water tested for turbidity and consider stepped filtration, using a 20-micron filter followed by a 5-micron filter before the UV system.

Why are there high bacteria counts in my Viqua Water Filtration Systems?
    • M
      Mr. Paul WatsonAug 26, 2025
High bacteria counts in your Viqua Water Filtration System can occur if the quartz sleeve is stained or dirty. Clean the sleeve with a scale cleaner and eliminate the source of the staining problem, for example, soften hard water. Also, changes in feed water quality can cause high bacteria counts. Have your source water tested to ensure that the water quality is still within allowable limits for this system.

What to do if my Viqua Water Filtration Systems is shutting down intermittently?
    • J
      Jeffrey SanchezAug 28, 2025
If your Viqua Water Filtration System is shutting down intermittently, ensure the system has been installed on its own circuit, as other equipment may be drawing power away from the UV, such as a pump or fridge. Also, the UV system should not be installed on a circuit which is incorporated into a light switch.

How to fix a Viqua VH410 Water Filtration Systems unit leaking water?
    • J
      Jennifer ReyesAug 30, 2025
If your Viqua Water Filtration System unit is leaking water, check the O-ring seal on the retaining ring and/or UV sensor. Ensure the O-ring is in place, check for cuts or abrasions, clean the O-ring, moisten it with water/lubricant, and re-install. Replace it if necessary. Condensation on the chamber caused by excessive humidity and cold water can also cause leaks. Check the location of the disinfection system and control humidity. Finally, check the thread connections of the inlet/outlet port connections, reseal with Teflon® tape, and re-tighten.

What to do if my Viqua Water Filtration System is leaking water?
    • H
      hollyjeffersonSep 2, 2025
If your Viqua Water Filtration System is leaking water, there are several potential causes: * A problem with the O-ring seal: Ensure the O-ring is correctly placed, inspect it for damage (cuts or abrasions), clean it, and moisten it with water or a lubricant before reinstalling. Replace the O-ring if necessary (410867). * Condensation on the chamber: This can be due to excessive humidity and cold water. Check the location of your disinfection system and control the humidity. * Inadequate inlet/outlet port connections: Inspect the thread connections, reseal them with Teflon® tape, and re-tighten.

      qmatthewsSep 4, 2025
A pressure drop in your Viqua Water Filtration System can be caused by a clogged sediment pre-filter. Replace the filter cartridge with an appropriate 5-micron cartridge. Also, check your source water supply, as fluctuations may occur in source pressure.

Why does my Viqua Water Filtration System have high bacteria counts?
    • C
      Christian Schroeder DDSSep 7, 2025
High bacteria counts in your Viqua Water Filtration System can stem from several issues: * A stained or dirty quartz sleeve: Clean the sleeve with a scale cleaner and address the source of the staining (e.g., soften hard water). * Changes in feed water quality: Have your source water tested to ensure it remains within allowable limits for the system. * Contamination in water lines after the UV system: Shock the effluent water stream with chlorine (bleach) before it exits the UV system. A bacteria-free distribution system is crucial for effective disinfection. * Sediment breakthrough through the pre-filter: Test your source water for turbidity. You might need stepped filtration, using a 20-micron filter followed by a 5-micron filter before the UV system, to capture all sediment.

Why my Viqua VH410 keeps shutting down intermittently?
    • R
      Ricardo WilliamsSep 9, 2025
If your Viqua Water Filtration System is shutting down intermittently, it could be due to an interrupted controller. Ensure the system is installed on its own circuit, as other equipment may be drawing power. The UV system should not be on a circuit connected to a light switch.
