RDNG?
Function: This query is used to retrieve the final reading of the test.
The RDNG? query returns the final reading in exponential notation (1.1020E-06). The VDC and VAC tests will respond with the
final current reading. Following MEG OHM and LO OHM tests, the remote output queue will contain the final resistance
reading.
ARGUMENT SEPERATOR
Use a ‘,’ as a separator for all arguments.
COMMAND TERMINATOR
Use a semicolon <;> (ASCII code 59) to terminate all commands through GPIB interface. Use both a semicolon <;> and a line
feed character <\n> (ASCII code 10) to terminate all commands through the serial interface.
READ TERMINATOR
The 944i will terminate all commands with a line feed character <\n> via the GPIB interface. ****NOTE: There is currently no
read terminator added to responses via the serial port.
RUN
Arguments: <none>
Function: Runs current test.
Example: RUN;
This command starts execution of the current test.
*CLS
Arguments: <none>
Function: Resets 944 GPIB status registers.
Example: *CLS;
This command clears all status registers.
*IDN?
Arguments: <none>
Function: Causes the 944i to put its ID information in the GPIB buffer.
Example: *IDN?;
When the 944 is read after this command is sent, the
string returned will contain the unit's ID information.
*RST
Arguments: <none>
Function: Causes an internal device reset. May be used to terminate a test and reduce output to a safe quiescent state. NOTE: This
is NOT the same as pressing the RESET button on the 944i.
