Color Activity Indication
Power Green
Off Power is off.
Solid Power is on.
Fault Yellow
Off Normal operation (no system errors
have occurred).
Solid The switch encountered an error during
POST diagnostics (see “Running
Diagnostics” on page 56).
Blink (slow) One of the following situations has
occurred:
• The RTC battery is depleted.
• A fan fault exists.
• A non-emergency fault condition has
occurred (such as incongruent system
configuration due to a previous firm-
ware upgrade). See the logged event
messages for more information. If this
condition recurs at power-up, check
the event messages again and clear
errors from the system through the
switch’s CLI. From the CLI’s Root
Menu, enter the following command:
diagnostics clear_errors
Blink (fast) The ambient temperature is over the
switch’s requirement (40°C).
