Volvo Penta D5A - Alternator Maintenance

Alternator
Adjusting
1 Loosen screw (5).
2 Push the alternator belt pulley (4) to the right until
the belt is correctly tensioned.
3 Tighten the screw.
Changing
1 Remove the belt for the fuel pump.
2 Loosen screw (5) and push the alternator belt pulley
(4) to the left and remove the belt.
3 Replace it with a new one.
4 Push the alternator belt pulley (4) to the right until
the correct belt tension is achieved, tighten the
screw (5).
5 Replace the belt for the fuel pump and adjust it.
