7. Lower the buttonhole foot.
8. Gently pull the buttonhole lever downwards as far as possible.
9. Hold the upper thread gently and begin to sew.
! The buttonhole is sewn by the machine automatically.
10.Lift the presser foot and cut off the thread.
» The buttonhole has been sewn.
W6 Tip
The size of the buttonhole is set automatically by placing a button at the
rear in the buttonhole foot. Sew a test buttonhole in the same type of mate-
rial. Ensure that a gap does not develop between the slide and the stop of
the buttonhole foot, as otherwise the buttonhole will not close neatly.
